Suzuki to launch ‘Burgman Street’ scooter in India at Auto Expo 2018

Written by Parichay Malvankar

Suzuki has not revealed any official details about their product line up for the Auto Expo 2018, but look at the images below, and we have one big reason to get excited. Seems like India will finally get the Burgman line of scooters here in India, and these would become a new icon in the scooter industry, similar to what Kinetic tried a decade ago with the Blaze.

What we will get in India would be a ‘Burgman Street’, as seen in the spyshots. Now, this Burgman Street unlike the other Burgman scooters is a little small in size, but the spyshot reveals details to keep us happy.

The scooter with have a large front apron with the headlamp & turn indicators mounted on it, but also get a large front windscreen for better cruising on the highway. Also, the handlebar is unique and you will also get a digital speedometer console. At the back, you have a sleek tail lamp unit along with a big grab rail for the pillion. The chunky exhaust also has a silver finish on it to pose as a premium scooter. Expect the scooter to get a front disc brake, while a rear drum brake is clearly visible.

Now, engine details are unavailable. We’re expecting a 125cc motor doing the duty because if there was a new 150cc engine, this scooter would have been spotted before undergoing testing.

Abroad, the Suzuki Burgman is powered by a 125cc, 200cc & 400cc engine options and even gets ABS. Here in India, we’re only expecting combi-brakes, and not ABS on this product.

Are you excited to check out the new Suzuki Burgman Street?
