Suzuki One Million Units Roll-Out

The popular Suzuki Access 125 in the Pearl Shining Beige colour option rolled off the production line in Haryana. Due to the rising two-wheeler demand in the Indian market the plant has also surpassed its original installed production capacity of 1 Million units.

Suzuki Motorcycles India is one of the largest two-wheeler manufacturers in the country. The brand competes with other global players such as Hero MotoCorp, Bajaj Auto, TVS and Honda in the Indian market. Suzuki retails Scooters, Motorcycles and high-end Big Bikes through its online and offline sales channels.

Suzuki’s India Portfolio

In India, Suzuki offers the Access 125, the Burgman 125 and Avenis scooters. In addition to this, the manufacturer also retails the V-Strom SX adventure motorcycle, Gixxer (150)/Gixxer SF (150) naked and super sports motorcycle. Gixxer 250 and Gixxer SF 250 with a 250cc power plant compete in the quarter-litre segment with the KTM Motorcycles in India. Suzuki also imports and retails the Suzuki Hayabusa and the Suzuki Katana motorcycles in the Indian market. To keep the costs in check, the motorcycles are brought in kits and assembled in India.

Suzuki Voluntary Recall

Recently, Suzuki voluntarily recalled the Gixxer 250, Gixxer SF 250, and V-Strom SX. The recall pertains to an issue with the engine camshaft. During routine check the brand discovered that a few models could have a defect in the engine camshaft. The defeats is related to the heat treatment on the cam shaft which could lead to an engine malfunction. Suzuki will be inspecting the motorcycles at their dealerships and if necessary replace the part without any cost to the customer.
