Skoda is reportedly working on a facelift version of the Rapid sedan which is expected to make an Indian debut in 2016.

We expect the updated Rapid to look like the international version, which looks in sync with the design of the bigger sibling Octavia.

The Rapid is doing just an average job in the segment with the segment leaders churning out more than 5 times the volumes. Skoda however is hopeful that the Rapid will do a much better job and will continue to be their bread & butter model.

If the new Rapid does look like the international version, Skoda will manage to grab quite some eyeballs. Powering the new model would be the same set of petrol & diesel engines, however, in a more efficient tune.

For 2016, apart from the Rapid facelift, Skoda will surely launch the next-generation Superb sedan and a possibility of the Fabia hatchback coming back to the Indian shores.
