Scomadi coming to India starting from INR 2 lakh for a 125cc scooter

Another two-wheeler manufacturer is eyeing the Indian market, and again, with local assistance. British brand Scomadi is all set to introduce their range of scooters in our market and have tied up with Pune-based AJ Performance for being their local alliance partner.

Scomadi was founded in 2005 and have been a popular name in bespoke scooter manufacturing for quite some time. What does Scomadi mean? Well, SCOoter MAnufacturing and DIstribution. The brand will first introduce the TT125 scooter in India. The brand has already finished all homologation process and the first lot could hit the streets as early as May 2018. Scomadi TT125 will be imported from Thailand as a CBU.

Now, since it is an import, it is going to come with a hefty price tag. The Scomadi TT125 is going to be priced at INR 1.98 lakh (ex-showroom). Now that, could make it dead on arrival. Especially for a brand barely known in India and asking for so much for a scoot. But then, you get plenty of extras. So consider that the Vespa costs INR 1 lakh, this is what you get over it:

  • 125cc motor producing 11 HP power
  • Racing DNA decals
  • Pirelli tyres
  • Fuel injection
  • Optional ECU remap
  • Exhaust upgrade option
  • Two hydraulic preload adjustable shock absorbers with coil springs
  • Petal disc brakes at the front & rear
  • Dual-channel ABS
  • Stainless steel bodywork
  • Full LED headlamp & tail lamp
  • DRL
  • Full digital speedo console

For now, you can book the Scomadi TT125 scooter at AJ Performance Pune, only.
