Revolt Motors a subsidiary of Micromax co-founder Rahul Sharma’s RattanIndia Enterprises, has launched a new variant of its flagship model, the RV400. The new variant called the RV400 BRZ, is a trimmed-down version and offers fewer features, but is also priced lower.

RV400 BRZ – More Details

The RV400 BRZ is priced at ₹1.37 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), which is ₹10,000 less than the standard RV400 variant. The RV400 BRZ comes with a mechanical key to start the bike, instead of the smartphone-based keyless ignition system that the standard variant offers. The RV400 BRZ also does not have features like internet connectivity, mobile application, artificial exhaust sound system, external speakers, and navigation, which are available on the standard variant.

However, the RV400 BRZ retains the same technical specifications as the standard variant. It is powered by a 72V, 3.24 kWh lithium-ion battery pack that claims a range of 150 km in Eco mode, 100 km in Normal mode, and 80 km in Sport mode. The top speed is capped at 80 km/h. The battery can be charged at home or at a charging station in 4.5 hours, or swapped at a battery swapping network. The bike also has features like fast charging, LED tail lights, combi brake system, tubeless tyres, and a digital speedometer.

The RV400 BRZ is available in five colour schemes – Lunar Green, Pacific Blue, Dark Silver, Rebel Red, and Cosmic Black. The company has also introduced a new colour option for the standard RV400 variant – Lightning Yellow. The bookings for the RV400 BRZ and the RV400 in Lightning Yellow are open on the company’s website and showrooms across the country.

With the EV two-wheeler market getting competitive, quite a few OEMs are offering scaled-down, affordable versions of their flagship products. Revolt too is following suit, and this seems like a move to attract buyers looking for an affordable electric motorcycle.
