British brand Norton Motorcycle, brought to India by partner Kinetic Group have started accepting bookings for the Norton Commando 961 model. Booking amount begins from INR 2 lakh, and varies from dealer to dealer. The bike is expected to be priced at around INR 23.5 lakh and will be brought to India as a CBU unit.

One can book the Norton Motorcycle from Motoroyale dealerships in India.

This modern classic motorcycle, the Norton Commando 961 is the first product under this brand coming to India. We are getting the sport model first and the Cafe Racer will be introduced at a later date. With design similar to the bikes from the 1960s the Norton Commando is sure to please vintage motorcycle lovers, but also provide all the modern technologies.

Powering the Norton Commando 961 is a 961cc, air-cooled, fuel-injected, twin-cylinder motor producing 79 BHP of power and 90 Nm of torque matched to a 5-speed gearbox. Now, the specifications of this bike are similar to that of a Triumph Bonneville, but the pricing is more than twice, or nearly thrice. The reason for such outrageous pricing is that the Norton bikes are brought in here as a CBU.

Kinetic Group confirms that local assembly of Norton Motorcycles will begin shortly, and Motoroyale dealers will then offer these bikes are competitive rates. Kinetic Group already retails MV Agusta motorcycles in India, and are also planning to introduce Italian SWM range of motorcycles.
