Mercedes-Benz GLA facelift – What’s New?

The 2024 GLA facelift sports a refreshed look with a new grille, revised front and rear bumpers, twin tailpipes, and LED headlights and taillights. The SUV also comes in a new Spectral Blue exterior colour option. The interior of the GLA facelift features a new steering wheel with touch controls, a carbon fibre-like insert on the dashboard, and a revamped centre console with more storage space. The GLA facelift offers a luxurious and safe driving experience with features such as a panoramic sunroof, 64-colour ambient lighting, powered front seats with memory, wireless charger, dual-zone climate control, gesture-controlled tailgate, digital key, seven airbags, TPMS, auto emergency braking, auto high beam assist, blind spot monitor, and hill descent control.

Powertrain

The 2024 GLA facelift is powered by the same engines as the previous model – a 1.3-litre turbo-petrol engine that produces 163 hp and 250 Nm of torque, and a 2.0-litre turbo-diesel engine that delivers 190 hp and 400 Nm of torque. The petrol engine is paired with a 7-speed DCT gearbox and a front-wheel-drive system, while the diesel engine is mated to an 8-speed DCT gearbox and a 4Matic all-wheel-drive system. The GLA facelift also features mild-hybrid functionality for its engines, which improves fuel efficiency and performance.

The 2024 GLA facelift competes with other premium SUVs in the Indian market such as the BMW X1, Audi Q2, and Volvo XC40. Mercedes-Benz India claims that the GLA facelift has received a positive response from customers and expects to deliver the first batch of vehicles by March 2024.
