Mini Shadow Edition launched in India at INR 49,00,000

Mini India has launched a new limited version of the Countryman. Dubbed as the Shadow Edition, it takes its inspiration from the Mini Cooper S JCW. Only 24 units of the Mini Countryman Shadow Edition will be available. The car is available for a price of INR 49,00,000, ex-showroom.

What’s new in the Mini Countryman Shadow Edition?

On the outside, the Shadow Edition features an all-black paint job. This comes with a silver roof and outside mirror casings. The Mini Countryman Shadow Edition also comes with a piano black outside trim with a double matte paint on decals. Furthermore, the car also gets Shadow Edition stickers on the bonnet scoop, front fender, side scuttles, door entry sills as well as the roof.

The Shadow Edition also comes with the John Cooper Works aerodynamic kit and rides on 18-inch Grip Spoke alloy wheels.
On the inside, the Mini Countryman Shadow Edition features Chester Malt brown leather, electric front seats and a panoramic sunroof. The car also gets a Harman Kardon sound system with Apple CarPlay. The boot features an electric tailgate and also comes with a picnic bench that is folded into the luggage area.

Powertrain of the Mini Countryman Shadow Edition

Like the other Countrymans, the Shadow Edition comes with a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine. This unit develops 176 BHP @ 5,000-6,000 rpm and 280 Nm @ 1,350-4,600 rpm. Transmission duties are handled by a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox. According to the carmaker, the car can do the 0-100 km/h sprint in 7.5 seconds and has a top speed of 225 km/h.

Mini Electric buyback offer

Mini has announced an assured buyback program for the all-electric Mini Electric. The electric hatchback is available with an attractive EMI scheme where in the first year EMI totals INR 8.5 lakh. After one year, the car owner will be offered an assured buyback of INR 45.5 lakh. This is part of the Mini 360 scheme. This offer is valid till 31 October 2023.

Mini Cooper SE electric is imported into the country via the CBU (Completely Built-Up) route. This electric vehicle gets a single electric motor rated at 181 BHP and 270 Nm. It is supported by a 32.6 kWh battery that gives the car a range of 270 km. Furthermore, the carmaker claims a 0-100 km/h time of 7.3 seconds.
