Meru deploy a fleet of Mahindra eVeritos

Written by Parichay Malvankar

On Earth Day, Mahindra Electric and Meru cab services announced a collaboration for a EV pilot project which will be tried out in the city of Hyderabad. This pilot project will then be used to replicate a similar model in other metro cities. Meru will make use of a fleet of eVerito all-electric sedans from Mahindra.

Mahindra has shown time and again that their focus on electric mobility is very strong, and they will keep trying multiple avenues to pioneer the EV segment. While the EV ecosystem is still in its nascent stage here in India, the government through National Electric Mobility Mission is promoting the use of such products.

Meru has also revealed that in the next 4 years, they will introduce more EVs in their fleet.

One can book the eVerito through the Meru app and it will also be available at the Meru Zone at the Hyderabad airport. Taxi charges will be the same fare as the Telangana government has directed for the radio taxi sedan fares.
