Mercedes-Benz recently launched the GLS SUV in India, which the brand claims as the S-Class of SUVs. The GLS is the brands flagship SUV model. Now, the German luxury car brand has imported the C300 Cabriolet to India for homologation hinting that the launch could happen in the coming months.
The C300 Cabriolet is a drop top version of the C-Class sedan.
Powering the C300 is a 2.0L, turbocharged, 4-cylinder petrol engine producing 241 HP of power and 320 Nm of torque matched to a 9G-Tronic automatic gearbox. Optional 4MATIC AWD system could also be offered. The C-Class cabriolet will also get an AMG version in due course of time which is powered by a 3.0L, turbocharged, V6 motor producing 362 HP & 520.6 Nm.
Interiors will be similar to the current C-Class already on sale and will get a canvas soft-top which can be retracted in 20 seconds and operated even when on the move at speeds up to 49 kmph. The canvas soft-top can be had in 4 colour options.
Pricing of this convertible will be over Rs. 50 lakh (on-road).
