The sub-4 metre sedan segment is dominated by the Dzire, and the new model is all set to create new milestones for the brand. The 2017 Dzire has gone through a thorough makeover inside and outside, and looks far more mature and pleasing compared to the older models.

The new Dzire measures 3,995mm in length, 1,515mm in height, 1,735mm in width and will be available in 6 color options across Lxi, Vxi, Zxi, Zxi+ variants in each petrol & diesel with manual as well as AMT gearbox options. Another highlight is that the new model now has increased boot space capacity of 376L.

Highlights include projector headlamps, LED DRL, LED tail lamp, diamond cut alloy wheels, touchscreen infotainment, steering wheel with faux wood inserts, rear AC vents, etc.

Powering the new Dzire will be the same 1.2L petrol and 1.3L diesel engines. However, thanks to the lower weight, the new model is expected to be more efficient. Also, Maruti Suzuki will make AMT available in both petrol and diesel engine options.

Based on the 5th generation B-Platform also known as HEARTECT, the new Dzire will come with safety features such as ABS + EBD, dual airbags, ISOFIX, seat belt pretensioners as standard.
