Taking customer demand and feedback seriously, Maruti Suzuki has introduced AMT / AGS variants in the top variants of the new Swift. The Swift only had ZXi / VXi & ZDi / VDi variants offering AMT automatics till now, but even the ZXi+ & ZDi+ variants will now get this feature. The Swift Petrol ZXI+ AMT has been priced at INR 7.76 lakh while the Swift Diesel ZDi+ AMT asks for INR 8.76 lakh (ex-showroom).
Benefits of a ZXi+ / ZDi+ AMT over the ZXi / ZDi variants is that you get LED DRLs, LED projector headlamps, dual tone alloy wheels, smartplay touchscreen infotainment system, parking sensors with camera, electrochromic rear view mirror and some more features. This surely adds more value, and customers wanted all of this along with the convenience of a two-pedal drive automatic.
The Swift petrol AMT delivers 22 kmpl of mileage while the Swift diesel AMT delivers 28.4 kmpl of mileage.
Since its launch in 2005, Maruti Suzuki has sold close to 2 million units of the Swift in India.
