Made-In-India Hyundai Creta crosses 5 lakh sales milestone

Hyundai’s Creta is a popular SUV, no doubt. So much is the demand for this mid-size SUV, that all manufacturers are trying to benchmark the Creta and introduce an SUV in this space. However, no other brand has seen success like the Creta, also because the Creta is nearly offering exactly what the customer wants, and not just marketing gimmicks.

Hyundai has now revealed that the Creta which is Made-in-India has crossed the 5-lakh sales mileseone worldwide. Launched in 2015, Hyundai has managed to sell 3.7 lakh units of the Creta in India and have exported more than 1.4 lakh units worldwide. Hyundai has crossed this 5 lakh sales milestone in less than 4 years of launch for the Creta, and this is commendable considering that the Creta is by no stretch an affordable budget car.

The Hyundai Creta recently got a minor refresh, and it still remains the segment leader. With features such as projector headlamps, LED DRLs, ventilated front seats, cruise control, electric sunroof, touchscreen infotainment, wireless charging, smart key band, LED tail lamps, electric 6-way power driver seat, etc. make the Creta the perfect choice for the urban buyers.

The Creta is sold in 3 engine options here in India:

  • 1.6L petrol producing 123 PS of power and 15.4 kgm of torque
  • 1.4L diesel producing 90 PS of power and 22.4 kgm of torque
  • 1.6L diesel producing 128 PS of power and 26.5 kgm of torque
