While we’ve all been happy with the 2017 KTM 390 Duke, we forgot about its supersport sibling. Although we’ve been thinking what will happen next to the KTM RC 390, the Austrian brand has dropped a limited edition bomb, and we can’t wait to see one in flesh.

KTM has announced that they will launch a RC 390 R, limited edition race-spec motorcycle in the international market. No update on launching this bike in India yet. However, KTM will be introducing a race kit for the RC 390.

The KTM RC 390 R will be a hard core track-focused motorcycle and will further enhance its supersport DNA. This bike will be limited to just 500 units worldwide. Feature additions on the KTM RC 390 R include a fully adjustable WP suspension, folding brake & clutch levers which are also forged, new handlebar kit, new top yoke & plenty of decals.

The engine of the KTM RC 390 R gets a shorter intake setup to widen the power band.

The RC 390 R will be priced at 8,500 pounds, which results in INR 7.65 lakh.

For those who want more, KTM will also introduce a SSP300 race kit. This is a homologated race kit for the Supersport 300 race category and comes with more than 230 parts so you can convert your standard KTM RC 390 to a race bike. Additions include a titanium Akrapovic EVO02 exhaust system, race ECU, STM slipper clutch, quickshifter, new wiring loom, spare wheels, gearing options, different cooling setup, new body kit and much more. KTM though will produce only 50 kits per year of the SSP300. And the cost, 11,000 pounds, resulting in INR 9.91 lakh.

Would you love to buy one? Or use this much money to get a bigger motorcycle?
