Kia SP Concept SUV, Hyundai Creta rival showcased at Auto Expo 2018

The official car launch for Kia might still be some time away, but the brand made its presence felt at the ongoing Indian Auto Expo. Kia Motors revealed the new SP Concept SUV, which when launched, would be a rival to the likes of Hyundai Creta. Along with this, Kia also revealed 16 global models, but we doubt any of them are coming to India anytime soon.

Once retail sales begin, it is the SP Concept which will be the first car on sale. The brand has given a timeline of Q3 or Q4 in 2019 for the product launch. The SP Concept is easily on the same scale of the Hyundai Creta, but is expected to feature more premium exterior & interior elements.

Here, on this concept, you can notice a wide stance, long hood profile, LED headlamp & tail lamps, large alloy wheels, signature ‘Tiger Nose’ grille for Kia, DRLs, roof rails & body cladding.

Considering the love for SUVs in the Indian market, the brand has decided to bring the SP Concept first in our market.

Apart from this, the brand showcased segment leading cars such as the Picanto, Stinger, Sportage, etc at the Auto Expo 2018.

Would you buy a Kia car in the first year of the brands operations?
