Kawasaki has finally released a teaser image which does confirm that a modern classic motorcycle is on its way. There were many speculative posts in the previous months, and this teaser now reveals that the new bike will be revealed at the Tokyo Motor Show on October 25th, 2017.
Called the Z900RS, no prizes for guessing that this bike might share cycle parts & engine with the recently launched Z900 street naked superbike. However, the Z900RS will be a bike to please the retro motorcycle loving audience. When launched, it will rival the likes of Triumph Bonneville in India, while it is more of a rival to the Yamaha XSR900 in markets abroad.
In the video, the brand also reveals the 1970 Z1 which was also a 900cc motorcycle. While design cues might have been taken from the model sold decades ago, expect all the latest technology packed in the Z900RS.
A few shots from the teaser reveal a twin-pot retro instrument console, LED headlamp, LED turn indicators, machine finish on the pseudo engine fins & alloy wheels, round old school rear view mirrors and adjustable levers.
