The legend has made a comeback. Kawasaki has taken the wraps off the much anticipated Z900RS retro naked roadster motorcycle. The bike was revealed at the Tokyo motor show, and we expect it to hit the Indian showrooms sometime in 2018.

This is Kawasaki’s only modern classic motorcycle on offer since the W800 is now discontinued.

Powering the Z900RS is a 948cc, 4-cylinder motor retuned differently compared to the Z900, for lower power. However, the RS has more mid-range performance in useable fashion. The engine produces 110 BHP of power and 98 Nm of torque matched to a 6-speed gearbox with slipper clutch assist.

Other highlights on the model include traction control, radial-mount brake calipers, LED lights & a retro instrument console with a MID. The bike has a 17L fuel tank to keep you going. The exhaust is a 4×1 type with retro styling and in stainless steel.

With a seat height of 835mm, the Z900RS welcomes most of the motorcycle enthusiasts. Compared to the sporty Z900, the footpegs have been lowered by 20mm & pushed forward by 20mm.
