Jaguar Land Rover confirms electric & hybrid cars in India starting from 2019

Jaguar Land Rover has confirmed that they will be launching electric and hybrid cars in India starting from 2019. For 2019, later in the year the brand will start introducing hybrid cars for our market while the all-electric models will arrive in 2020.

Jaguar will launch the Hybrid Vehicles to Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV) in India.

Jaguar has confirmed that the i-Pace SUV, which can be considered as the electric version of the F-Pace will arrive in 2020. This will be the brands first BEV in India. Jaguar Land Rover is hoping that the FAME-II scheme by the government will help electric & hybrid cars gain popularity in the luxury car market thanks to the benefits.

The Jaguar i-Pace is powered by a 90kWh battery which produces 400 PS of power and 696 Nm of torque matched to an automatic gearbox. This battery powered SUV will have a performance of 0-100 kmph in 4.8 seconds and the top speed will be 200 kmph.
