Hyundai India rolls out 8 Millionth car in 19 Years 6 months

Hyundai Motor India Limited, HMIL has been a very successful car manufacturer in India and has stuck to their #2 position behind Maruti Suzuki in India. Since their inception in the country, Hyundai has now produced their 8 millionth car in India. The 8 millionth car was the Hyundai Creta, which is the brands popular SUV.

Hyundai India so far has sold 53,00,967 units in the Indian market and have exported a massive 27,03,581 units.

Hyundai first rolled out the Santro as their 1 millionth car in 2006, which took them 8 years since inception in 1998. The brand now terms themselves as a modern premium car manufacturer, and in real sense, the cars do reflect this with latest features, fantastic quality and reliability.

Hyundai was the first brand to introduce CRDi (Common Rail Direct Injection) technology with the Accent in 2002.

Hyundai has a production plant near Chennai spread over 535 acres. The 2nd plant which opened up in the same vicinity in 2008. Hyundai now has 493 dealerships and 1.309 service touch points across India. All Hyundai cars now come with a 3 year warranty as standard with RSA.
