Hyundai i10, i20 & Xcent now get ‘EBD’

Written by Parichay Malvankar

Hyundai has now started listing EBD (Electronic Brake-Force Distribution) as a safety feature on three of their cars. The Grand i20, Elite i20 & Xcent now benefit from the safety feature. We’re not sure if this was available previously and it is now that Hyundai has officially announced it. No official communication was shared, but it is now a part of the specification sheet.

Previously, apart from airbags, the top trims of these cars only came with ABS. ABS with EBD will now make the cars that little bit more safer when it comes to braking performance and emergency maneuver. EBD modulates the amount of brake force applied to each wheel depending on the speed and road conditions.

ABS + EBD is now available on the Grand i10 from the Sportz variant onwards, on the Xcent from SX variant onwards and on the Elite i20 it is offered as a standard feature.

Hyundai recently launched the facelift version of the Elite i20. The brand is now gearing up to launch the Santro back in our market. And the sentiment is very positive for a new Santro as this was the car which began a fantastic journey for brand Hyundai here in India.
