Honda has launched the all-new CR-V in India with prices starting at INR 28.15 lakh. One can buy the CR-V in 3 variants which include the petrol 2WD variant for INR 28.15 lakh, diesel 2WD variant for INR 30.65 lakh and diesel AWD variant for INR 32.75 lakh. All CR-V variants come with an automatic gearbox, no manual option available.

Powering the petrol CR-V is a 2.0L motor matched to a CVT gearbox producing 154 PS of power and 189 Nm of torque. The diesel CRV is powered by a 1.6L engine producing 120 PS of power and 300 Nm of torque, but the diesel motor gets a 9-speed automatic gearbox. This is the first time Honda is offering a diesel engine option on the CR-V and this is expected to broaden the target audience for the model. Also, the new CR-V comes with a 7-seat layout for the first time.

The highlight of the new CR-V is also the push button gear console on the diesel engine automatic gearbox. This is unique in this segment, and does add to the overall feel good factor.

Safety features include dual front airbags, side & curtain airbags, stability control, hill start assist, brake assist, ABS with EBD, electronic parking brake, auto brake hold, driver attention monitor, lanewatch camera, isofix, etc.
