Hero Motocorp has recently hiked the price of their 200cc motorcycle, the Hero Xtreme 200R from INR 89,900 to INR 90,900, ex-Showroom. The Hero Xtreme 200R does not have any changes to the motorcycle in relation to the INR 1,000 price hike.

The Xtreme 200R is powered by an air-cooled, 199.6cc, 2-valve, single-cylinder, OHC motor producing 18.4 PS @ 8000 RPM and 17.1 Nm @ 6500 RPM. The fuel delivery system on the Xtreme 200R is a carbureted type system.  The clutch is wet-type multi-plate and it is coupled to a 5-speed constant mesh gearbox. The Xtreme 200R rides on a diamond type chassis. The seat height is 795mm and the ground clearance is 165mm. The kerb weight of the bike is 148 kg and it has a fuel tank capacity of 12.5-litres.

Brakes are a single-channel ABS setup equipped with 276mm front disc brake and a 220mm disc on the rear wheel. The Xtreme 200R rides on a telescopic hydraulic type front suspension with an anti-friction bush and a 7-step adjustable monoshock on the rear.

Hero Motocorp is also getting ready to launch the much-awaited Xpulse 200 and the Xpulse 200T and as reported earlier, a fully faired bike has also been spied bearing Hero badges and may carry the same 200cc engine from the Xtreme.

Now at INR 90,900 ex-Showroom, the Hero Xtreme 200R still continues to be the most affordable motorcycle in the 200cc segment. The Hero Xtreme 200R competes with the likes of TVS Apache RTR 200 4V & Bajaj Pulsar. The lower segment models like the Apache RTR 160 & Bajaj Pulsar 180F match the pricing range with the Hero MotoCorp Xtreme 200R.
