With sales not really showing any good signs, almost every hatchback manufacturer tries to create a crossover version just to spice things up. The Ford Figo, which hasn’t been finding too many buyers ever since the new generation model was launched is now coming to showrooms as a crossover, and will be most likely called the ‘Ford Figo Cross’.
One glance, and this Figo Cross looks very similar to the Fiat Avventura. But we know what happened to that product don’t we?
Images reveal that the Figo Cross comes with sporty front bumpers, new front grille, body decals, black ORVMs, roof rails, new alloy wheels, body cladding, chrome accents on the weather strips & door handles, new touchscreen infotainment, new audio controls, black + grey interiors, and we expect a few more cosmetic tweaks here and there. Even the rear end is expected to feature some visual changes.
The new Figo Cross is expected to come with a new 1.2L Dragon series petrol engine producing close to 90 BHP of power and the familiar 1.5L diesel mill producing 100 BHP of power. Both engines coupled to a 5-speed manual gearbox.
