Dealers reveal BMW Motorrad G 310 R & G 310 GS launch in July 2018

BMW Motorrad dealers are now gearing up for the most anticipated bike launch in the country ever. The German brand is soon going to launch the awaited and delayed by a huge margin models, the G 310 R & G 310 GS motorcycles in our country. It is being said that the bikes will be in showrooms from July 2018. However, all news reports about bookings being open are incorrect, and just rumours. Dealers have not yet started accepting bookings, we’ve just confirmed.

Pricing details are also not revealed yet. But it is expected that the BMW G 310 R will be priced a little above INR 3 lakh on-road while the G 310 GS will be priced close to INR 3.5 lakh mark. While this does make the bikes expensive compared to arch rival KTM Duke 390 & siblings, the BMW badge is expected to justify this price hike by the ego massage & badge value it will add.

TVS Motors built these motorcycles here in India, and are being exported worldwide. Sales have begun for both the motorcycles across the globe since a long time now, but the home country where it is built, here in India, the launch has been delayed since a long time.

The BMW G 310 R & G 310 GS, both models are powered by a 313cc, reverse-placed, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder motor producing 34 HP of power and 28 Nm of torque matched to a 6-speed gearbox.

So, indeed the launch is inching closer. We’re hoping that the bikes will be on sale before the festive season of 2018 here in India and there would be a long waiting period for both the models, especially for the G 310 GS.
