BMW X4 M40i launched in India at INR 96,20,000

BMW has launched the X4 M40i at INR 96.20 lakh, ex-showroom. The SUV will however be available in limited quantity and will come via the CBU route.

BMW X4 M40i : More Details

The BMW X4 comes with an eye-catching and distinct coupe-SUV exteriors with a sporty look. The brand offers an adaptive LED headlight setup with Matrix function as standard. As an option BMW also offers the BMW Laser Light headlights. The X4 also comes with full-LED rear lights that protrude from the vehicle’s body in a three-dimensional design. Furthermore, as the M variant, the X4 M40i comes with a dark BMW M kidney grille and smoked LED headlamps. The SUV also gets 20-inch Jet Black M light alloy wheels with M Sport brakes and red brake calipers

On the inside, the BMW X4 also comes with BMW Live Cockpit Plus as standard. The car gets a 10.25-inch display as standard featuring the BMW Operating System 7. The X4 also comes with a 12.3-inch high-resolution instrument cluster. The X4 also comes with BMW Maps, smartphone connectivity and integration of 3rd party services. This also includes enhanced functionality such as BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant, remote Software Upgrade updates “over-the-air” and Driving Assistant Professional. The M40i variant also gets a carbon fibre trim and a sporty 3-spoke steering wheel.

Powertrain of the BMW X4 M40i

The X4 M40i gets a 2.0-litre six-cylinder engine which is turbocharged as well. This unit develops 355 BHP @ 5,200-6,500 rpm and 500 Nm @ 1,900-5,000 rpm. Power is sent to all the four wheels via an eight-speed automatic gearbox and all-wheel-drive system.

The car is also configured with adaptive suspension and gets an M Sport differential with automatic differential locks.

Other variants of the BMW X4

In the international market BMW offers the X4 with four-cylinder and six-cylinder engines. Both engines use 48-volt mild-hybrid technology. The 48-volt starter-generator is capable of providing an additional electric boost of 8 kW/11 Hp of power. In India we already have the 2.0-litre petrol four cylinder and the 3.0-litre six cylinder diesel unit.
