BMW X3, now Made-in-India

BMW has started local production of their luxury SUV, the X3 at their plant in Chennai. The new BMW X3 is all set to be launched next month in our country, and will be made available as a CKD product from the day of launch.

The new X3 promises to be more dynamic & luxurious than before. This is the 3nd generation BMW X3 and expect pricing to be in the range of INR 45 – 50 lakh.

The new X3 will come with 3 engine options.

  • xDrive 30i petrol with 248 BHP
  • xDrive 20d diesel with 190 BHP
  • xDrive 30d diesel with 265 BHP

BMW currently locally produces the following models at their plant in Chennai – 3 Series, 3 Series Gran Turismo, 5 Series, 6 Series Gran Turismo, 7 Series, X1, X3 and X5. Local production of the Mini Countryman would commence soon.
