BMW 6-Series GT launched in India for INR 58.90 lakh

BMW has launched the 6-Series Gran Turismo at the Auto Expo 2018. Cricket legend Mr. Sachin Tendulkar was present at the launch event and this car has been priced at INR 58.90 lakh (ex-showroom). This new product in the GT lineup is locally produced in the petrol variant and the diesel version will be launched later in 2018.

The new 6-Series GT is available only in a Sport Line trim with high gloss accents, special interior colours and sport leather steering. Other styling highlights include the long bonnet, frameless windows, coupe-style roofline, automatic tailgate, full LED lighting, active rear spoiler, etc.

Inside, you have a generous use of leather upholstery. The GT offers more space and sports two-part panoramic sunroof, electric rear seats, electric sunblinds, ambient lights, sport seats with higher side bolstering, 610L of boot space and the standard gadgetry along with rear seat entertainment system.

BMW is also offering gesture control on the new 6-Series GT.

Powering the car is a 2.0L, 4-cylinder petrol engine for the 630i producing 258 HP of power and 400 Nm of torque helping the car sprint to 100 kmph in 6.3 seconds. Engine is matched to an 8-speed steptronic sport automatic gearbox. One can choose from Sport, Comfort, Comfort+ Eco Pro and Adaptive driving modes. The 6-Series GT also comes with adaptive 2-axle air suspension with automatic self-levelling.

Safety features include six air bags, Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) with brake assist, Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) including Dynamic Traction Control (DTC), Cornering Brake Control (CBC), Hill Descent Control (HDC), Side-impact Protection, Runflat tyres (RFT) with reinforced sidewalls, electronic vehicle immobiliser, crash sensor and emergency spare wheel.

The only variant on offer right now is the BMW 630i Gran Turismo Sport Line.
