Bentley has launched the Flying Spur V8 in India at a price of Rs. 3.10 crore (Ex-showroom Delhi). The V8 slots below the flagship Flying Spur W12 model.
The Flying Spur V8 is powered by a 4.0L, V8, twin-turbo petrol engine pumping out 500 BHP of power and 660 Nm of torque. It gets an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission powering all four wheels. The car is also equipped with cylinder deactivation technology, which can close up to four cylinders as per the situation and boost fuel economy. As per company claims, the V8 can be driven for 700 kms on a single tank of fuel. 0-100 kmph can be achieved in 5.2 seconds and the claimed top speed is 295 kmph.
The V8 is nothing new to look at compared to the W12, except for a few styling changes. The car gets new designed chrome exhaust tips, red center on the Bentley Wings badge, front bumper grills in matte black etc. Most of the equipment list is carried over from the W12 variant.
The Flying Spur V8 is cheaper by Rs. 10 lakh than the W12.
