Benelli reveals BJ300GS, a 302R based tourer

Benelli has been showcasing multiple products across multiple riding styles worldwide in the recent past. The Benelli brand, owned by parent company Qianjiang has now showcased a new tourer based on their 302R sportsbike. Dubbed as the BJ300GS, this new Benelli tourer would go on sale later this year.

The new motorcycle being a tourer sports a different front end styling. It gets full fairing which is a bit bulbous for the BJ300GS compared to the 302R. it is also taller than before which will result in better wind protection. You get a tall windscreen, wider front fairing, different aero ducts, raised handlebar, reprofiled fuel tank & repositioned foot pegs. The bike features a projector headlamp and front turn indicators are integrated in the fairing.

Powering the Benello BJ300GS tourer is the same 300cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin cylinder motor seen on the 302R. The bike produces 34 HP of power and 27.1 Nm of torque. These figures are lower than the sporty 302R which produces 37 HP & 25.7 Nm. The engine is matched to a 6-speed gearbox.

Features which have been carried over include the chassis, front USD forks, rear monoshock, alloy wheels. Other notable changes also included the reworked rear profile of the bike for mounting luggage accessories. Also, the full size exhaust of the 302R has been replaced on the BJ300GS.

The Benello BJ300GS tourer weighs 216 kg.
