What has come as a huge huge surprise and a big news in the industry, Bajaj Auto India has announced global partnership with Triumph Motorcycles. This new deal is a non-equity partnership and both brands will work jointly in developing mid-range motorcycles which would make best use of the expertise from both manufacturers.

Bajaj & Triumph will jointly work to develop bikes with better positioning, design, development, cost, competitiveness & perception in the buyer audience.

This new deal is expected to allow Triumph to reach out to a higher volume segment globally, especially in emerging markets. Bajaj will gain better understanding of markets beyond our shores, and also get technological trickle down from the British brand.

More details on bike development are still tight lipped.

While everyone was speculating Bajaj working a deal with Ducati, this Triumph deal has really spiced things up in the global two-wheeler spectrum.

Bajaj is expected to produce Triumph bikes in 200cc – 600cc class here in India.
