All-new MINI Countryman debuts in India, deliveries from June 2018

BMW showcased the all-new Mini Countryman in India at the Auto Expo 2018. While prices are yet to be announced, this new car will commence deliveries from June 2018 onwards. When launched, the new Mini Countryman will be available in 3 variants Mini Countryman Cooper S petrol, Mini Countryman Cooper S JCW Inspired petrol and Mini Countryman Cooper SD diesel.

The new Mini Countryman will be locally produced in India. This is the 2nd generation Countryman and brings practicality in the Mini range.

MINI Countryman Cooper S JCW Inspired variant comes with John Cooper Works aerodynamic kit, roof spoiler and 18-inch JCW thrill spoke alloy wheels, JCW sports leather steering wheel, ‘Leather Cross Punch’ Sport Seats, Harmon Kardon music system, MINI Find Mate and MINI Wired Package with Navigation System Professional and MINI Connected XL 8.8” infotainment screen.

MINI Countryman Cooper SD variant comes to India for the first time producing 190 HP and 400 Nm torque. It features a Panorama Glass Roof and Electric Seat Adjustment with memory function.

MINI Countryman Cooper S variant brings automatic Tail Gate, Cruise Control, LED Headlight, Fog Light, Multifunction steering wheel, Centre armrest in front and rear and the Radio MINI Boost 6.5” as standard.

The new MINI Countryman will be sold in five colours options – Island Blue, Light White, Chilli Red, Melting Silver and Thunder Grey and a British Racing Green exclusively Countryman Cooper S JCW Inspired. Inside, the Countryman will be available with Leatherette Carbon Black as standard upholstery and Leather Cross Punch Carbon Black for the Countryman Cooper S JCW Inspired.

Engines:

  • 2-litre, 4-cylinder, petrol engine with TwinPower Turbo for the Countryman Cooper S producing 141 kW/192 hp and 280 Nm. 0 to 100 km/hr in 7.5 seconds and top speed of 225 km/hr.
  • 2-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine for the Countryman Cooper SD producing 140 kW/190 hp and 400 Nm. 0 to 100 km/hr in 7.7 seconds and top speed of 220 km/hr.
  • Both engines come matched to an 8-speed automatic steptronic transmission.
