Kawasaki has officially released a teaser image which reveals that the brands first ever cruiser for the Indian market is just days away from launch. This bike, the new Kawasaki Vulcan S is a 650cc cruiser, sibling to the Ninja 650. Kawasaki is expected to launch it in the coming weeks, possible in the first half of January 2018 or may be even earlier than that.

Expected pricing for the Kawasaki Vulcan S cruiser is under INR 6 lakh. Although not a fully faired motorcycle, this Vulcan S cruiser will be expensive considering the customisable riding position options it allows to users.

Powering the Vulcan S will be a 649cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled motor producing 60.2 BHP of power and 62.78 Nm of torque matched to a 6-speed gearbox. Expect the bike to get a slipper clutch & ABS as standard.

When launched, the Kawasaki Vulcan S will rival the likes of Harley-Davidson Street 750. The American cruiser, the Harley-Davidson Street 750 has an ex-showroom price tag of INR 5.15 lakh. However, the Kawasaki Vulcan S will be brought in via CKD kits, so the pricing could be marginally higher.
