There is exciting news if you are an electric scooter buyer. For the month of August 2023, we have not just one, but three new launches coming up. Recently, the demand for electric two wheelers has shot up thanks to their ease of use, low cost of ownership and increasing awareness about electric vehicles.
In 2023 itself, there have already been quite a few launches and more are lined-up as well. New launches in August are a preparation for the upcoming higher sales for the festive season.
Let us take a look at the upcoming models for the month of August 2023.
Eblu FEO
Godawari Electric Motors is planning to launch its latest offering, the Ebly FEO on 22 August 2023. This is the electric vehicle maker’s first e-scooter. The company had showcased it first at the 2023 Auto Expo.
The Eblu FEO will offer a range of 100-130 km on a single charge and will fall into the price bracket of INR 1,00,000 – INR 1,10,000.
Ola S1X
Ola Electric is getting ready to launch its most affordable offering yet. The Ola S1X is set to be unveiled on 15 August 2023 and could be priced under INR 1 lakh, ex-showroom.
The most affordable scooter in the Ola line-up will be based on an all-new platform. This new generation platform will however share some components with the S1 Air.
Ola could position this S1X as the entry-level option in the scooter line-up. The scooter could increase EV adoption and target traditional ICE scooters like Honda Activa, TVS Jupiter and the likes.
Ather 450S
Scheduled for a launch on 11 August 2023 this scooter from Ather Energy is expected to be priced around INR 1,30,000. Compared to its more pricier siblings, the scooter will get a smaller battery unit.
Teaser images have revealed that it will get Bluetooth connectivity and a colour screen amongst others. Further details are expected at the time of launch.
