2019 next-generation Triumph Rocket III spotted testing

Written by Parichay Malvankar

The Triumph Rocket III has been an iconic motorcycle. Not just for the looks, but for the engine capacity and the massive weight it used to carry. Now, clear spyshots have emerged on the internet revealing the next-generation 2019 Triumph Rocket III, and looks unlike any other model sold under this nameplate before.

One glance at the motorcycle, and it reminds you of the power cruiser styling of the Ducati Diavel. However, this bike will cost may be twice that of the Ducati Diavel, so not really any competition between the two. Triumph could reveal the new Rocket III sometime this year, and we can expect it to go on sale in India before the end of 2019.

Powering the new generation of the Rocker III could be an even bigger engine. Previous model had a 2300cc 3-cylinder motor while the new bike is expected to get a 2500cc 3-cylinder at heart. The bike is also expected to have a significantly lower weight making it easy to handle, and also, quicker off the line to justify the Rocket name. Rumours also hint that power output could be in the range of 180 BHP.

Spyshots reveal new dual headlamps with LED DRLs, bar end mirrors, unique handlebar design, dual exhaust end can, styling exhaust headers, contoured seats, single-sided swingarm, small fly screen, digital instrument console, multi-spoke alloy wheels, large fuel tank, LED tail lamps, LED turn indicators and also, one can expect the best of equipment on this motorcycle.

When launched, the Triumph Rocket III in India will surely cost upwards of INR 20 lakh.
