2018 TVS Apache RTR 200 4V with slipper clutch launched

TVS has announced the launch of the 2018 Apache RTR 200 4V. Dubbed as the new-generation TVS Apache RTR 200 4V ‘Race Edition 2.0’, this bike now benefits from a new feature – ‘Anti-Reverse Torque (A-RT) Slipper Clutch’. The new bike will also get a few other cosmetic changes.

The new TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Race Edition 2.0 is the first motorcycle in the segment to come with a slipper clutch. Thanks to this feature, the clutch force needed is reduced by 22% and also the gear shifts have improved. Anti-hopping function increases the motorcycle stability offering more confidence to the rider.

The bike also features new racing styled graphics and a new fly-screen which improves aerodynamics,

Powering the bike remains the same 197.75cc, single-cylinder motor matched to a 5-speed gearbox producing 20.5 PS of power in the carburetor variant and 21.0 PS of power in the fuel-injected variant along with producing 18.1 Nm of torque. ABS will also be on offer for the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Race Edition 2.0.

Pricing for this new bike is INR 95,185 for the Carburetor variant, INR 1,07,885 for EFI variant and INR 1,08,985 for Carburetor with ABS. (Ex-showroom Delhi).
