2018 Honda Dio gets LED headlamp, DLX variant priced at INR 53,292

Honda has been on their toes to keep their product line-up refreshed in recent times. The brand has now given a mild makeover to the Dio scooter. A new variant of the Dio, Dio DLX has been introduced priced at INR 53,292 (ex-showroom Delhi). This scooter shares the same body with the standard Dio variant, but gets a few extra features.

The new Dio DLX is more expensive than the standard variant by nearly INR 3,000.

New features on the Dio DLX include LED headlamps, digital speedo console, ECO indicator, 4 exclusive colour schemes, gold painted rims, new body decals, service reminder, 4-in-1 lock mechanism, CBS with equalizer, USB charging socket, metal muffler protector, new front hook and DLX branding.

Powering the Honda Dio is a 109.19cc, single-cylinder, SI, 4-stroke, fan cooled motor producing 8 BHP of power @ 7000 RPM and 8.91 Nm of torque @ 5500 RPM matched to a V-Matic gearbox. Honda claims that the Dio has a true top speed of 83 kmph. The CBS system, Combi Brake System on the Dio works via drum brakes at the front and back.
