2018 Hexo Xtreme 200R with ABS launched at INR 88,000

Written by Parichay Malvankar

The latest from Hero MotoCorp in a long time for the premium commuter segment, the Xtreme 200R is finally seeing the light of day. The brand has priced the motorcycle at INR 88,000 ex-showroom, but only in North Eastern region of India. It is unclear if this bike will be launched in a phased manner.

Hero Xtreme 200R is a rival to the likes of TVS Apache RTR 200 4V & Bajaj Pulsar 200NS. But the pricing is very competitive, even with the single-channel ABS setup.

Powering the Xtreme 200R is a 199.6cc, single-cylinder, 2-valve, air-cooled, OHC, 4-stroke petrol motor producing 18.4 PS of power @ 8000 RPM and 17.1 Nm of torque @ 6500 RPM matched to a 5-speed gearbox. The single-channel ABS works only on the front wheel, while you have disc brakes at the front and back.

The Xtreme 200R comes with features such as LED DRLS, LED Tail lamps, AHO, rear monoshock, contoured seats, engine underbelly cowl, alloy wheels, and a full size exhaust. The speedo console is digital + analogue, but looks very dated.

The new 2018 Hero MotoCorp Xtreme 200R is available in 5 colour options.
