Fiat has finally revealed the replacement for the ageing Punto. The Fiat Punto has been in the marker for over a decade, and now, will be replaced by the all-new Argo. The Argo is much more bold in its appearance, and looks like a much needed change in the segment.
This hatchback has been designed and developed in Brazil. FCA has not revealed any plans of an Indian debut at the moment. But considering Fiat & Jeep brands are looking at the long term picture here in India, a new generation Punto would make sense.
The Argo comes with sporty styling, smoked headlamps, bumper with contrast strips, snazzy alloy wheels, contrast painted ORVMs & spoiler, chrome exhaust tip, etc.
Powering the Argo will be:
- 1.0L, 72 HP petrol motor
- 1.3L, 101 HP petrol motor
- 1.8L, 135 HP petrol motor
All engines will come matched to a 5-speed manual gearbox while the 1.8L block will also get a 6-speed automatic gearbox option.
We expect Fiat to showcase the Argo to the Indian audience at the Auto Expo 2018.
