Yamaha Fazer 250 with full fairing spotted testing, could be called FZ25 R

Spotted testing for the first time, this is the new Yamaha Fazer 250. This fully faired motorcycle will be based on the recently launched FZ 25 & is expected to be launched in the coming months, possible around the festive season of 2017.

Rumours suggest that this bike could actually not have the Fazer name, but would be dubbed as the FZ25 R.

The bike is expected to be powered by the same 250cc, single-cylinder engine seen on the FZ 25. The FZ sibling produces 20.9 PS of power and 20 Nm of torque, but this FZ25 R could get a different power & torque output to negate the added weight. But all of this is unconfirmed.

The bike on test reveals that the fully faired version looks rather bulky. It gets a full fairing unlike the Fazer 150, which has a semi-fairing. There is no clear image of the front, so we don’t know it the bike will sport a single headlamp or a dual setup. Exhaust, tail lamp, rear profile and we guess even the fuel tank would be similar to the FZ 25.

Also, the Fazer 250 / FZ25 R is expected to be launched with ABS right from the day of launch.

Expected pricing is in the ball park of Rs. 1.5 lakh.
