BMW is bringing back the 8-Series, and it will become the new flagship model for the German luxury car brand. The 8-Series will be a rival to the likes of Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe. So you know what to expect, a 2-door sportscar like design based on the 7-Series.
This new 8-Series would be introduced in 2018, and a new teaser image has been revealed hinting at how the silhouette of the car would look like. Confirmation came in from the top boss at BMW Harald Krüger who confirmed the launch timeline to be 2018.
BMW claims that the new 2018 8-Series will be a luxury sports coupe like none other.
BMW used to have the 8-Series on sale between 1989 – 1999, but that was a different game back then. Now, the new car apart from good looks will be loaded with the best of components, powerful yet efficient engine, hybrid systems, exotic materials, etc.
BMW will reveal more details about the new 8-Series at the Concorso d’Eleganza on May 26.
