Isuzu D-Max V-Cross recalled for ECU problems

The D-Max V-Cross pick-up truck has been recalled by Isuzu. This has happened after there were multiple customer complaints of a jerk felt in the engine while accelerating at around 1,800 RPM.

The company analyzed the issue and cited an engine misfire for the cause of the problem. They are recalling this model to remap the ECU and change the on demand torque delivery of the vehicle at that particular RPM range.

The company will also re-work the rear leaf springs as there have been customer complaints of a loud clattering sound whenever the vehicle is taken off-road.

Isuzu have begun the process of re-calling the vehicles. The company will also bare all the expenses of their customers who are facing this issue.

Automobiles have always been part of my life, and I'm sure they always will be. What is it about them that moves me? The sound of a great engine, the unity and uniqueness of an automobile's engineering and the design, the history of the company and the car, and, of course, the sheer beauty of the thing.
